If you get at least 40 marks in Inter, you can earn an engineering seat through EAMCET. The rule has been relaxed for the past two years in the wake of the corona. Students have been promoted to Inter 1st year in 2021 without Tenth exams. They did not even undergo 1st year tests in March 2021. However, all of them were tested in October. But, only 49 per cent of the students passed. There were serious concerns among the students over this. They expressed helplessness that they could not write the exams properly as they did not understand the online classes.

The government passed all the first year students with minimum mark. Currently they are scheduled to write the second year exams in April. Given 1st year's experience, expectations are high that it will be difficult for most people to achieve 40 marks. It was recently decided to give a chance to get a seat through EAMCET if they pass with 35 marks.
