India Successfully Tests Anti-Radiation Missile ‘Rudram-II’
  • India has achieved a significant milestone with the successful flight test of the indigenously developed anti-radiation missile Rudram-II. Fired from a Su-30 MKI fighter aircraft off the coast of Odisha, this missile is poised to become a vital asset for the Indian Armed Forces, serving as a force multiplier in suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD) missions.
  • The Rudram-II, developed by DRDO, marks a substantial advancement in India’s defense capabilities. With its ability to target enemy ground radars and communication stations, it serves as a formidable tool in SEAD operations. Equipped with a solid-propelled air-launched system, Rudram-II offers enhanced precision and flexibility, capable of neutralizing various enemy assets. Notably, it boasts an internal guidance system enabling autonomous target acquisition post-launch.
  • Collaborations between DRDO and industry giants like Adani Defence signify a concerted effort towards mass-producing these advanced missile systems.
