Vice President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu, called upon states to increase the production of Solar PV sells and modules in India.

He called to set up manufacturing plants in order to boost the production of solar PV cells and modules.
He noted the importance of “AtmaNirbharta” in solar energy through active participation of states.
He also suggested to invest in training and upskilling the workforce in order to adopt latest technologies and highlighted the instance of the scheme of ‘Surya Mitras’.
