Andhra Pradesh Government will soon release a notification to fill 7,384 vacant posts. To this extent, department wise vacancies have been identified according to the number of posts sanctioned during the formation of RBKs.

These are the details of the posts-
A maximum of 5,188 animal husbandry assistant posts are vacant. After these, 1,644 horticulture, 467 agriculture, 63 fisheries and 22 silk assistant posts are vacant. These posts will be filled by APPSC. The government is working to give notification for these soon. If these posts are also filled, the number of employees in RBK will reach 21,731.

Out of total 14,347 people currently working in RBK, there are mainly 6,291 agricultural workers, 2,356 horticultural workers, 4,652 animal husbandry workers, 731 fisheries workers and 317 silk workers. Locally, depending on the area of agriculture, horticulture, aqua and silk cultivation, the assistants of the respective departments are acting as in-charges of the local RBKs.

Agriculture and horticulture assistants are in-charges in majority of RBKs. In some, silk and fisheries assistants are working as in-charges. Depending on the cultivation area of other crops, the assistants of the respective departments are serving as second in-charges. As there is dairy wealth within the majority of RBKs, one animal husbandry assistant has been assigned to each RBK. In almost majority of RBKs, one or two services are provided.

RBK staff are going on field level visits for implementation of e-crop, e-KYC, farm schools, garden, fish farming schools, animal science schools and implementation of other farmer sponsored programs. A locally active volunteer has been attached to the RBKs to provide uninterrupted service to the farmers visiting the RBKs during such times.

On the other hand, 9,160 banking correspondents have also been linked to RBKs with the intention of providing banking services at the village level. RBKs are providing all the services provided to the farmers by making them as one stop solution centers. This has increased the work pressure on the staff of RBK. In this background, the government has decided to fill the vacant posts department wise. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has also issued orders to this effect in a recent high-level review.
The government is preparing to give a notification soon for filling up the vacant posts in secretariats along with RBKs. Efforts are underway to give notification by Sankranti. The government has directed that every RBK should be staffed according to the local dairy crops. Actions have been taken to fill up the vacant posts accordingly.
