12,400 per month scholarship for PG Scholars
- Scholarships will be given to the students of professional courses for 24 months

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced PG scholarships to students pursuing post-graduation (PG) in professional courses including engineering. Eligible candidates in PG courses in Engineering and other courses in AICTE-licensed professional colleges will be given a scholarship of Rs. 12400. AICTE has already invited applications and posted them on its official website. Students are required to submit an online application at https://www.aicte-india.org/schemes/students-development-schemes/PG-Scholarship-Scheme. Candidates are required to create a login ID through this portal by December 31 and submit the application by January 15.
The selected candidates will be credited with Rs.12,400 / - per month in their bank accounts under 'AICTE PG Scholarship'. Those who are selected for this scholarship should participate in teaching and research activities for 8 to 10 hours per week as prescribed by their educational institution. Scholarships will be continued if the candidates are in good progress in accordance with AICTE and academic standards, taking into account their monthly performance. Applicants should have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), Common Entrance Examination for Design (Seed). Must have Admissions in Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Architecture, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Design. AICTE determines the number of scholarships based on the intake in the respective institutions. In addition, PG Scholarships are offered to ten percent of the EWS students under the quota. Dual degree students are also eligible for this 24 month scholarship.
'Swanadh' for 2,000 students
AICTE said it would provide financial assistance in the name of 'Swanadh' to students who have lost their parents due to covid. AICTE has announced a scholarship of Rs 50,000 per annum for four years for 2,000 eligible students pursuing degree and diploma in recognized colleges. One thousand degree students and one thousand diploma students are allotted among these scholarships which are given for college fees, computer, books, necessary equipment, material. Those who have lost their parents with Covid, children of those who died while serving in the armed forces, paramilitary are eligible to apply. Their family's annual income should not exceed Rs 8 lakh. Students should not be recipients of other assistance from the government. They must be a first year degree or diploma student in AICTE approved colleges. Candidates should submit online applications through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by November 30. Degree students are selected on the basis of Intermediate marks and Diploma students on the basis of tenth marks.
