About the Programme
Axis Bank Young Bankers (ABYB) Programme is an endeavour by Axis Bank to nurture industry leaders of the future by imparting domain expertise, knowledge and skills set in the field of Banking.
ABYB is a one year, full time residential programme which will be conducted at two training campuses, Manipal Global Education in Bangalore and Amity Global Business School in Noida.

Eligibility Criteria
Education Qualifications: Only graduates from any stream, with 55% and above in their FINAL year of graduation or aggregate of 55% and above in graduation
Age: Age limit 25 years as on the date mentioned in notification.
Selection Process:
The selection will be through a two stage selection process consisting of an online Aptitude test followed by an interview.
Aptitude Test: The Aptitude test will be conducted online. The test duration will be of 2 hours (approximately). The test will assess the proficiency of candidates in the areas of below mentioned 4 modules:
Personal Interview: All the applicants who successfully clear the Aptitude test will be invited for a Personal Interview.
Pre-joining Medical and Background Verification process
As a part of on boarding, the candidate will have to submit a “self declaration” medical fitness form. Upon being found medically fit, the candidates will be considered for employment in the bank.

Job role description
Successful candidates after one year will be placed as an Assistant Manager (customer service officer) at any Axis Bank Branch across the country.
Sales:
Conducts outbound marketing calls and scouts for new leads and referrals to generate business Responsible for sales of third-party products (Life Insurance - LI, General Insurance - GI, Mutual Funds - MF, Debit/ Credit Cards, etc. to the existing customer base
Responsible for lead generation for Current Account and Savings Account - CASA to new customers and deepening of account balances for existing customers.
Customer Service and Operations:
Responsible for timely processing of bank transactions like
- Funds transfer
- Cheques
- Opening of accounts
- Reconciliation of office accounts
- Ensuring timely resolution of customer queries and improving customer service levels.
Stipend and Salary
Stipend: Young Bankers will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs.5, 000/- per month for the first 9 months to meet the out of pocket expenses and Rs. 12,000/-per month during the internship towards their living expenses.
Other Benefits: Medical Insurance cover of Rs.1,00,000/- is provided to the student by the bank for the duration of course
Salary: On successful completion of the course the student would be absorbed in the role of 'Customer Service Officer (CSO)' at Assistant Manager in the Bank with a gross CTC (cost to company) of Rs. 4.01 lakhs per annum (This is inclusive of Loan benefits and Indicative Performance linked Bonus plus Retrials). Breakup of the same is as shown below.
Program fees and Funding
To pursue this course, the interested applicant will have to invest Rs 3,40,000 plus service tax. This amount will cover the tuition fees, boarding, lodging for the entire course.
Fees will be payable as per the payment schedule below.
Curriculum
The Post Graduate Diploma in Banking (PGDBS) Services would be a one-year program comprising of four trimesters of 13 weeks each. First three trimesters would be conducted on Campus. The fourth trimester would be devoted to internship to be pursued by the participant at a designated Branch of Axis Bank across the country.
Course Credits: Credits have been assigned to each course based on the hours of study/learning and other associated activities like case studies, tutorial discussions, case-presentations, lectures, library work and practical-work in laboratories etc. The outline of the curriculum of the Program trimester-wise is given below.
First Trimester: Areas of learning covered will comprise of Basics of Banking, IT in Banking, Business communication, Managerial Economics, Business Mathematics and Statistics, Accounting, General management
Second Trimester: Areas of learning covered will comprise of Banking and allied services, Banking environment, Advanced Business communication, Receipts and Payment systems, Lending
Third Trimester: Areas of learning covered will comprise of Financial Planning, Foreign Exchange, Credit Risk management, Retail banking, Treasury Management, Recovery Management, Business analytics
Fourth Trimester: Learning will be on the job and will be in form of the Internship and Project work.
Certification
A Postgraduate Diploma in Banking Services (PGDBS) will be conferred on a participant on his / her successful completion of the programme. However, for award of the postgraduate diploma, a participant has to fulfill the following requirements:

- He/ She should have taken and passed in each course of study as prescribed in the curriculum to earn the minimum number of credits specified for that particular course.
- He/ She would become eligible for the award of a diploma on acquiring requisite number of credits at the end of the program.
- He/ She should have satisfactorily fulfilled other academic requirements (as specified in the course of study/ curriculum) like practical training, work visits, seminar, project etc.
- Students have to appear for certain banking certification examinations such as NISM, as a part of the academic program. The exam fee will be borne by the students themselves and will be reimbursed to those who successfully complete the exam, on joining the Bank.
