It is known that recruitment to the posts of SCT Police Constable (Civil) (Men & Women), and SCT Police Constable (APSP) (Men) in Police Department was notified on 28-11-2022.
Preliminary Written Test (Qualifying test) for the above posts was conducted on 22.01.2023 at 35 locations/997 Centres in Andhra Pradesh. 4,59,182 candidates appeared in the exam, out of which 95,208 candidates have qualified. The result is available on the website “slprb.ap.gov.in”.

AP Police Constable Exam qualifying marks are as follows:
- OC: 40% in Paper (i.e., 80 Marks out of 200);
- BC: 35% in Paper (i.e., 70 Marks out of 200)
- SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen: 30% in Paper (i.e. 60 Marks out of 200).
The Preliminary Answer Key was released on 22.01.2023, immediately after the examination. 2261 objections were received. The subject experts verified each of the objections. Answers to 3 questions were changed.
Stage II Online Application Form for PMT/PET will be available from 03.00 PM on 13.02.2023 to 05.00 PM on 20.02.2023 at this website. Those candidates who have qualified in the Preliminary Written Test (PWT) must fill the Stage II Online Application Form in time for appearing in PMT/PET.
