Prepare for Upcoming Exams Stress-Free, Urges SCPCR Chairperson Kesali Apparao

Kesali Apparao, the Chairperson of the Andhra Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR), has emphasized the importance of students preparing for exams without succumbing to stress. In a recent directive, the SCPCR urged school and college administrations to refrain from exerting undue pressure on students during their final (Annual) examinations.

Apparao stressed the need for examination centers to be equipped with essential facilities to ensure a conducive environment for students. He emphasized the provision of amenities such as drinking water, first aid, adequate restroom facilities, proper lighting, and benches.

Additionally, the SCPCR instructed school and college administrations to issue hall tickets to students well in advance, with no room for complaints in this regard. The Regional Transport Corporation (RTC) officers were also directed to organize transportation services to ensure students reach their examination centers punctually.

To alleviate tension, students were advised to visit examination centers accompanied by their parents beforehand. Apparao cautioned that strict action would be taken against institute managements found harassing students by withholding hall tickets or failing to maintain proper facilities at examination centers. Furthermore, Apparao assured parents and students that any violations of child rights or instances of harassment during examinations can be reported to the SCPCR for appropriate action.

In light of these directives, students are encouraged to focus on their studies without undue stress, as the SCPCR works to ensure a fair and supportive environment for all during the examination period.
