TSPSC Group 2 Exam 2024: Detailed Question Paper Analysis - Paper 1 Tough, Paper 2 Moderate; Full Insights

The Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Group-2 exams were conducted peacefully on Sunday, with Paper-1 and Paper-2 held in the morning and afternoon sessions, respectively. The remaining Paper-3 and Paper-4 exams are scheduled for Monday. Check detailed question paper analysis below.

TGPSC Group-2 Paper-1 Question Paper Analysis

Many candidates reported that Paper-1, which focused on General Studies and General Abilities, was difficult. The majority of the candidates mentioned that the question paper was designed to deeply test their subject knowledge. Questions on topics like ISRO, national awards, Khelo India, CAG, electric vehicles, NITI Aayog, the differently abled, senior citizens, geography, and IITs required more time to answer, leading to concerns among candidates that they could not finish the paper within the allotted time.

TGPSC Group-2 Paper-2 Question Paper Analysis

As for Paper-2, which covered History, Polity, and Society, candidates found

  • the history section to be particularly challenging,
  • while the polity section was relatively easier.
  • Questions related to society were of moderate difficulty, according to several candidates.
  • Many reported that the questions on Telangana's history were especially tricky, and only a few candidates felt confident in answering them correctly.

TGPSC Group-2 Attendance Rate at 46.75%

The TSPSC conducted the Paper-1 exam for 783 Group-2 posts on December 15th, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by Paper-2 in the afternoon from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM. The exams were held across 1,368 centers in 33 districts of Telangana. However, attendance on the first day was disappointingly low, with more than half of the registered candidates not showing up. For Paper-1, the attendance rate was just 46.75% (2,57,981 candidates), and for Paper-2, it was slightly lower at 46.30% (2,55,490 candidates).
