Group 1 2022 Cut-off Marks

After the formation of Telangana state, changes were made in the selection process with the new zonal policy introduced with the intention of giving jobs to local candidates. With this the Group-1 cutoff marks will be different in each zone and in each category. There are two multi-zones in the state. The cut-off marks are the same in each multi-zone. Similarly for reservations, the cutoff marks according to gender are different. Over 3.5 lakh applications have been received for Group-1 jobs.

Experts say that candidates need to practice more rigorously as the competition is high and the cutoff determination also varies zone-wise. TSPSC has already clarified that the prelims marks will be considered only up to the selection of the main exams and will not be considered in the final ranking.

Multizones are assigned based on the locality of the candidates. Selection for Group-1 Mains in this order is based on two multizones. Candidates are then selected by enforcing SC, ST, BC, EWS reservations, disability, sports reservations as per Rule of Reservation. Thus the cutoff marks are different in each zone. For example, the marks of the candidates selected in the BC-A category in Multizone‌-1 are not the same as the marks of the candidates selected in the BC-A category in Multizone-2. Similarly, the cut-off marks in each zone will be different from rest of the categories.
