AP Inter Syllabus and Exam Pattern to Change: Board Proposes Significant Changes!

The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate Board is considering major revisions to the Intermediate syllabus and exam pattern. The board aims to reduce the burden on students and make the Intermediate curriculum more relevant to their future needs.

The AP Inter board aims to reduce the current syllabus, which it believes is overly extensive compared to the NCERT syllabus. The proposed changes are as below -

Key Changes:

  • Mathematics: The syllabus for Mathematics will be reduced, and the board is exploring the possibility of merging the two existing papers into a single paper.
  • BiPC: The board is reviewing the BiPC syllabus, as NCERT includes only Biology while AP Inter has separate Botany and Zoology subjects.
  • Internal Assessments: Similar to CBSE, the board is considering implementing internal assessments instead of board exams for the 11th grade.
  • Skill Development and Vocational Subjects: The board is exploring the introduction of skill development and vocational subjects as electives alongside general subjects.
