Solutions to everyday problems
Space technology is taking precedence over expectations in showing solutions to the challenges faced by people in their daily lives. The Central Government has already released Spacecom Policy 2020, Space RS Policy 2020 and Geospatial Policy 2021 to promote the private sector in the Indian space technology sector. This led to the establishment of companies such as New Space India Limited (NSIL) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (Inspace).
The state government has prepared the 'Telangana Space Tech Policy Framework' for the support of the private sector in the space financial sector. The state government hopes to make Telangana a global space technology hub. The state government hopes to achieve the objectives of promoting business, trade development, manufacturing, making it a testing ground for remote sensing applications, and inviting investments and partners around the world. To this end, a number of policy decisions are being made for infrastructure, trade opportunities, skills development, training, research and innovation.
In the field of space technology, companies like Anant Technologies, VEM Technologies, Enter Technologies, startups like Sky Route, Dhruva, DRDO, NRS, Adrin, DRDL, RCI, BDL, Ordnance Factory, etc are well known. Hyderabad is already a key hub for space technology operations. About 30 percent of the components on the Mars Orbiter mission are made in the state. In this context, the government hopes that the state technology policy will yield the expected results in the coming days.
