It is known that the earlier Group-1 notification was given in April 2022 with 503 posts. The circular stated that Departments of Secretariat are requested to submit the latest vacancy position of Direct Recruitment posts available under Group-I Services, in addition to the posts already permitted in G.O.Ms.No.HRM.VII) Department, dated:23.03.2022.
TSPSC Group I Prelims and Mains Exam Pattern and Syllabus
For the earlier notification, 3.5 lakh candidates have applied. The exam was conducted in October 2022. 2.80 lakh candidates attended the exam. Prelims results were also given, and Main exam dates were finalised. But the exam was canceled due to paper leakage. The exam was conducted again in June 2023. But the High Court ruled that the examination should be canceled as there were errors in the conduct of the examination. The Telangana Public Service Commission has filed a petition in the Supreme Court. But so far, no arguments have been made. However, the new government has decided to issue a fresh notification along with additional posts.
According to the Congress manifesto, the group 1 notification will be released on February 1. Sources in the Public Service Commission said that there is a possibility of issuing a re-notification on Feb 1st. The officials were directed to inform the details of the vacancies in all the departments before 5 pm on 31st January. There is a possibility of release of notification for about 600 Group-1 posts including new and old.
