Murthy highlighted that every corporate professional deserves respect and recognition. He advised that while appreciating employees should be done publicly, pointing out their shortcomings should be done privately. Additionally, he stressed the importance of fair profit-sharing among all employees.

Compassionate capitalism

According to Murthy, India's future development and poverty eradication will be possible only when businesses adopt compassionate capitalism. He reiterated the role of India's youth in making the country a global leader. Murthy had previously faced criticism for advocating a 70-hour workweek to boost productivity.

In his conversation with Harish Mehta, former founding president of TiE Mumbai, Murthy expressed concerns about the socialist mindset hindering India's growth. He explained that capitalism is essential for fostering innovation, generating jobs, reducing poverty, and contributing to national development through taxes.
