Admission| AcSIR PhD Sciences Program 2023
Eligibility for AcSIR PhD Sciences Program:
PhD Sciences (Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical & Information Sciences, Biological Sciences): Masters degree in Science with minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS and minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third gender and Persons with Disability (PwD). The applicant should have a valid National level Fellowship (JRF/ SRF of any funding agency, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST, etc.) or any other equivalent fellowship like DBT-BET, INSPIRE, RGNF, etc. (Tenable at All AcSIR Academic Centres). OR Masters degree in Science with minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/General-EWS and minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/SC/ST, Third Gender and Persons with Disability (PwD). Applicants without any national fellowship can also apply for Institutional Fellowships (Tenable only at WII, IASST, TCG-CREST, TIGS). OR Project Assistants, Senior Research Fellows, Group-IV Scientists and Group-III Technical Staff of CSIR and other Associate Academic Centers of AcSIR having Masters degree in relevant science discipline are eligible to apply. NOC from the current employer is mandatory.
PhD (Sciences): Masters degree in Science with minimum 55% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for General (UR)/ General-EWS and minimum 50% marks (without rounding off) or equivalent grade for OBC (NCL)/ SC/ ST, Third Gender and Persons with Disability (PwD). Endorsement (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory. Candidates whose final results are awaited, but are otherwise eligible as per the screening criteria, can also apply. If selected, they will be provisionally admitted to the program. Their continuation in the program will be subject to securing required percentage/ equivalent grade (depending on the cut-off marks for screening for the specific program) and submission of marks-sheet of their final result at the time of joining the program.
Application Fee for AcSIR PhD Sciences Program: Rs.1,000/ for General/ OBC/ EWS category and Rs.500/ for SC/ ST/ PWD category.
