Previously, the NEET-UG 2024 exam was held on May 5 across 571 cities with around 2.4 million candidates, and the results were announced on June 4. However, numerous controversies arose, including issues with NCERT books, damaged OMR sheets in several exam centers, and delays due to paper swaps, leading to the awarding of grace marks to 1,563 students.
The situation escalated when 67 students scored full marks, including those who benefited from grace marks, leading to a Supreme Court decision to nullify the grace marks and mandate a re-exam. The results of this re-exam are expected to be announced on June 30.
