NEET-UG 2024 Re-Exam Tomorrow: Students to Retake Exam Amid Tight Security

The NEET-UG paper leak has become a nationwide controversy, sparking significant protests from students. Following the removal of grace marks, the central government has decided to conduct a re-exam for the affected students.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will re-conduct the NEET exam tomorrow for 1,563 students whose grace marks were revoked.

Admit cards for the re-exam have already been issued. Officials from NTA and the Ministry of Education will oversee the examination process at the centers to ensure smooth conduct.

Previously, the NEET-UG 2024 exam was held on May 5 across 571 cities with around 2.4 million candidates, and the results were announced on June 4. However, numerous controversies arose, including issues with NCERT books, damaged OMR sheets in several exam centers, and delays due to paper swaps, leading to the awarding of grace marks to 1,563 students.

The situation escalated when 67 students scored full marks, including those who benefited from grace marks, leading to a Supreme Court decision to nullify the grace marks and mandate a re-exam. The results of this re-exam are expected to be announced on June 30.
