NEET UG 2024 Counselling Postponed!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the NEET-UG exam originally scheduled for Saturday. The new date will be announced soon. This comes amidst ongoing controversy surrounding the May 5th NEET UG exam.

NEET UG 2024 counselling is a multi-stage process that allows qualified students to secure seats in medical colleges. It involves registration, fee payment, choice filling, document verification, and reporting to the allotted college.

Supreme Court's Decision:

On Friday, the Supreme Court declined to delay counselling for NEET UG 2024 despite allegations of irregularities. The court acknowledged the seriousness of the concerns but stated it's not a straightforward decision. Notices have been issued to the NTA, the Central government, and others regarding a petition seeking cancellation due to alleged exam irregularities.

These petitions, along with others raising similar concerns, will be heard by the Supreme Court on July 8th. Lawyers representing the petitioners urged the court to temporarily suspend counselling for two days until the hearing on July 8th.
