NEET 2022 Telangana State Ranks Out: Check Top Rankers

The state level NEET 2022 ranks were released by Kaloji Narayana Rao Health University. 36,795 people from Telangana state have qualified in the NEET exam.

Errabelli Siddhartha Rao, who secured fifth rank in NEET national level, became the top ranker in Telangana state. Chappidi Lakshmicharita, who secured 37th rank at the national level, secured the second rank in the state. National level 41st ranker Jeevankumar Reddy stood third in the state.

There are 28 boys and 22 girls in the first 50 positions. The eligibility cutoff marks have been fixed as 117 marks for open category, 93 marks for BC, SC, ST, PWD categories and 105 marks for PWD general. Officials said that there is no need to worry if any students do not have names in these state level ranks, they can apply later during counseling. By mistake, some rankers' names may have gone to other states. While the top 1000 rankers in the state are likely to join the All India seats, the rest will join the state level colleges, say Kaloji University sources.

NEET Cutoff Ranks

EWS quota seats in MBBS is 215
Medical sources have revealed that 215 seats have been allotted to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in the state's government medical colleges for the medical academic year 2022-23. In this, Gandhi and Kakatiya Medical Colleges have 50 seats each, Adilabad RIMS and Nizamabad Government Medical Colleges have 20 seats each, Mahbubnagar and Siddipet Medical Colleges have 25 seats each, and the rest are in ESI Medical College.

However, the university said that only half of the seats will be filled with those who are eligible for EWS quota. The rest of the seats will be allotted to SC, BC and ST students. According to the rules, no matter how many seats are filled in the EWS quota, all the seats have to be allocated to the remaining reservations.

5,965 seats in the state
There are 5,965 MBBS seats available for the medical academic year 2022-23 in both government and private medical colleges in Telangana. All the seats in the government and 50 percent of the seats in the private colleges will be filled in the convener's quota. 15% seats in government medical colleges are filled at national level under All India quota.

If there are any remaining seats after two rounds of counselling, they will be handed over to the state. According to the sources of Kaloji University, the announcement for MBBS and BDS admissions is likely to be issued in the second week of October.
