NEET-UG 2024: Final Merit List to Be Released in Two Days

The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, announced that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET-UG) results within two days. This announcement follows the Supreme Court's decision regarding the entrance test.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court dismissed petitions calling for the cancellation and re-test of NEET-UG 2024 due to alleged paper leakage. The court ruled that there was no sufficient evidence proving a "systemic breach of its sanctity" that compromised the exam's integrity.

The NTA was instructed to release the final merit list based on the IIT-Delhi report on the disputed physics question. The Supreme Court accepted the IIT-Delhi report and directed the NTA to consider option four as the correct answer. Due to confusion over the final answer, the NTA awarded four marks to students who selected both options, resulting in 44 toppers.
