The Staff Selection Commission will hold an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination for direct recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, Non Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations including their Attached offices, Subordinate offices and Statutory bodies of the Government of India located in various States and Union Territories.

SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Recruitment 2023 - Qualification (As on 23/08/23): Passed 12th standard or equivalent examination.

SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Recruitment 2023 - Age Limit (As on 01/08/23):

Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 30 years
Stenographer Grade ‘D’: 27 years

SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Recruitment 2023 - Fee: The online SSC Stenographer Grade C & D application fee will be paid by using different modes such as BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card. The last date for the fees submission is August 23th 2023. Candidates can check the application fees given below:

Rs.100/- [No fee for Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PwBD and Ex-Servicemen]

SSC Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Recruitment 2023 - Application Process

Step 1: Open the Official SSC website https://ssc.nic.in/ and click on the Apply button which is the top header bar
Step 2: Next, look at the bar below the main header and select SSC Stenographer C & D.
Step 3: Click on the application form and select your grade either C or D.
Step 4: Now enter your basic details i.e. your Name, Gender, DOB, Father’s name etc. [Note: DOB should be the same as it in the matriculation certificate].
Step 6: Now look for a field provided to enter Captcha and put it accordingly.
Step 7: Moving ahead you will get a new page to fill in your personal contact details like an Email address and phone number.
Step 8: Enter the Captcha in its box and submit.
Step 9: Remember to fill in your own mobile number and your own email, because you will receive an OTP or one-time password to confirm your contact details.
Step 10: You will be redirected to upload your photo and signature.
Step 11: Photo and signature uploading instructions will be found on the SSC Stenographer Online Application page.
Step 12: Now select your particular exam center along with the code applicable.
Step 13: Mention the category code and post you are applying for.
Step 14: Choose your educational qualification in the application form.
Step 15: Put your contact details correctly for further communication.
Step 16: Check the preview and submit the form.
Step 17: Check everything in the form before you finally hit the submit form to avoid any kind of mistakes that you might have made in the application form.
Step 18: Now you can pay the application fees.
Step 19: You can pay both online and offline.
Step 20: If you pay, offline you have to generate an e-challan through SBI banks during their working hours.
Step 21: Make the payment and check the application status.
Step 22: You are now aware of the application process. Let’s have look at the application fees applicable:

SSC Stenographer Online application Fee: Rs.100/- for unreserved, OBC, EWS category entrants.
You can pay the application fee through- Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ or BHIM UPI.
Whereas if the entrant wants to pay the fee offline they have to generate an e-challan
Entrants can walk into ant SBI bank branch along with that challan and make the payment.

Step 23: Upload Photo
The photograph should be a colored one and not black and white.

It should passport size with white background.
The image size should be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm.
Now scan the photo and save it in JPEG/ JPG format.
The image size should not exceed 20-50 Kb.

Step 24: Upload Signature:

The signature should be done with a black coloured ink pen, on white paper within a box size (3.5 cm X 3.0 cm).
Entrants must sign in running letters, not in a block or capital letters.
The scanned image of the signature should be in JPG/JPEG format with a resolution of 100 DPI.
Dimensions of the image must be 3.0 cm (width) X 3.0 cm (height).
The signature image size must be between 20-50 KB.
