SBI Apprentices Notification 2023 

SBI Apprentices Recruitment 2023 - Selection Process: Engagement of apprentices would be based on i) Online written test and ii) test of local language

The Stat Bank of India (SBI) Apprentices online written examination (online objective type) would be as follows.

Test of local language: The specified local languages of the states are as mentioned in Para A of the advertisement. The candidates applying for training seats of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of that State as mentioned in Para A of the advertisement. The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination. Candidates who fail to qualify this test will not be engaged for apprentice. Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test. Candidates will have to appear for the test of specified opted local language at a centre (to be decided by the Bank) of the State applied for, at his/her own expenses., the SBI will not reimburse or bear any travelling expenses that may be incurred by the candidate for attending said test.

SBI Apprentices Recruitment 2023 Guidelines for scanning and Upload of Documents:

Before applying online for State Bank of India, a candidate will be required to have a scanned (digital) image of his/her photograph, signature, left thumb impression and the hand written declaration as per the specifications given below.

1. Photograph Image Size: (4.5cm × 3.5cm)
2. Photograph must be a recent passport style colour picture. It is advisable that candidate retains about 8 copies of the same photograph which is uploaded at the time of online application as these would be needed for further processes of this engagement process .
3. Make sure that the picture is in colour, taken against a light-coloured, preferably white, background.
4. Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face
5. If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows
6. If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye" . If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
7. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face.
8. Dimensions 200 x 230 pixels (preferred) . Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb
9. Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50kb. If the size of the file is more than 50 kb, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, no. of colours etc., during the process of scanning.
10. Signature: (With black Ink)
11. The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
12. Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
13. Size of file should be between 10kb – 20kb, Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20kb

Left thumb impression:

1. The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on a white paper with black or blue ink.
2. File type: jpg / jpeg , File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB
3. Dimensions: 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)
4. The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged. (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb for applying.)

Hand-written declaration Image:

1. The applicant has to write the declaration in English clearly on a white paper with black ink.
2. File type: jpg / jpeg File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB , Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality) i.e. 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height)
3. The signature, left thumb impression and the hand written declaration should be of the applicant and not by any other person.

The text for the hand-written declaration is as follows:

“I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine “The above mentioned hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only. If it is written and uploaded by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid. (In the case of Visually Impaired candidates who cannot write may get the text of declaration typed and put their left hand thumb impression below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.)
