The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the official schedule for the Group-1 Mains 2025 Examination, starting from May 3 to May 9, 2025. A total of 7 papers will be conducted across 7 consecutive days. All necessary arrangements have been made by the Commission to ensure smooth conduct of the exams.

Important Exam Guidelines:

  • Exam timing: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Entry into the exam hall: Between 8:30 AM and 9:45 AM
  • No electronic devices (mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, etc.) allowed.
  • Question papers will be delivered digitally through tablets (Tabs).
  • Answer booklets will be plain white paper, not ruled ones.

Underlining in answers must be done only with a ballpoint pen. Use of sketch pens may lead to disqualification from evaluation.

Exam Centers
APPSC has arranged 13 examination centers:

  • Vijayawada – 6 centers
  • Tirupati – 3 centers
  • Visakhapatnam – 2 centers
  • Anantapur – 2 centers

A total of 4,496 candidates have been shortlisted in a 1:50 ratio for the 89 Group-1 posts notified in December 2023.

Last-Minute Preparation Tips for APPSC Group-1 Mains 2025

Revise only key topics from each paper; don’t try to study new content now.

Focus on practicing previous year question papers and model essays.

Stick to your notes and standard materials. Avoid distractions from too many sources.

Ensure you get 7–8 hours of sleep every night before the exam.

Reach the exam center early to avoid last-minute stress.

Stay hydrated and carry all necessary items like hall ticket, ID proof, pens, etc.

Practice time management — aim to complete answers with structured introduction, body, and conclusion.

For essay and ethics papers, give real-life examples and balanced viewpoints.
