TSCHE to release TS CETs 2022 Schedule by Jan end

The Telangana State Higher Education Council has already taken up the exercise for finalising the CETs schedule for 2022-23. It is learned that oral consultations have also been held with the Vice Chancellors of all the universities. Authorities said they would complete the process by January 15 and announce the schedule by the end of the month.

Letters to varsities in January...
Annually EAMCET, ECET, ICET, PGCET, EdCET, LAWCET are mainly conducted under the leadership of the TSCHE. This time they are also trying to conduct the joint PhD entrance exam. The 2021 exams were delayed due to the corona. The EAMCET admission process lasted until the third week of December. Allocation of EdCET and LAWCET seats is still ongoing. It is known that the VCs came to a consensus after discussing this at a recent meeting. With this, the exercise began as to which CET should be handed over to which university and who should be appointed as CET convener. The Board of Higher Education has decided to write a letter to the VCs of the universities in the first week of January. A committee is set up in each varsity and a convener is selected to manage the CET assigned to that varsity.

Special focus on EAMCET
The Board of Higher Education is primarily focused on EAMCET. JEE Main and Advanced exams should be considered in case of counseling even if the exam is conducted in a timely manner. This year EAMCET special counseling was conducted after the allocation of JEE seats. This allowed the vacant seats to be less. A similar set-up exercise began for the next year too. As well as courses that are not in demand, a list of colleges with no students admitted is being prepared. The higher education council is considering giving recognition once these are taken into account.

Tests on time as expected
It has been decided to conduct Common Entrance Tests next year as early as possible. We will be officially writing letters to VCs soon. Once the response is given, we will decide which varsity will be given CET management. We plan to complete this process in January and give a schedule.
- Prof. R. Limbadri (Chairman, Board of Higher Education)
