National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is a mandatory computer-based test for admission to the five-year Integrated M.Sc program in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
NEST 2024
The participating institutes are the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM–DAE CEBS) in Mumbai.
NEST 2024 - Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates who have cleared the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2022, 2023, or those who will be appearing for the 12th Standard examination or equivalent in 2024, regardless of category and age, are eligible for admission to the Integrated M.Sc. program of NISER/CEBS in 2024.
Applicants must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII examination from any recognized Board in India. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, and for Divyangjan candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
NEST 2024 - Application Fee:
Male candidates of Unreserved/EWS/OBC category: Rs.1,200
Female candidates in the Unreserved/EWS/OBC category: Rs. 600
