In another recruitment decision, the Telangana State Finance Ministry has approved the recruitment of engineers in the Irrigation Department. In this regard, orders will be issued soon for the recruitment of Assistant Engineer posts in Mechanical (84), Civil (320), Agricultural Engineering (100) and Electrical (200).

No. of AE and AEE Posts and Eligibility
- Candidates who have completed Polytechnic Diploma Course in the respective sections will be eligible for these posts. Out of which 259 posts will be allotted to Multi Zone-1 and 445 posts to Multi Zone-2.
- In addition, the Finance Ministry has approved the recruitment of 227 Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs). This includes the Civil (182) and Mechanical (45) posts. 112 posts were allotted to Multi Zone-1 and 115 posts to Multi Zone-2. These posts will be filled with BTech graduates.

In the power sector
South Telangana Electricity Distribution Corporation (TSPSPDCL) announced the notification on May 9 for the recruitment of 1,271 posts. Of these, for 70 Assistant Engineers (Electrical) notification was issued on May 11. There are also 201 Sub Engineer (Electrical), 1000 Junior Line Men (JLM) posts. North Telangana Electricity Distribution Company (TSNPDCL) and Telangana Genco are likely to issue notifications for the replacement of posts in other categories soon. Officials said Telangana Genco is likely to replace about 200 AE posts for the operation of new power plants under construction in the state. O is likely to give notification after three, four months.
