Job opportunities in Electrical Engineering

Our population is going on incre-asing, but the power generation and transmission facilities are not increasing proportionately. Hence, in today Indian power sector the amount of electricity generation is not adequate to meet the required power demand. That's why we are facing power cuts daily. As long as power cuts are there, there is a necessity of increasing the gene-ration of electrical energy by insta-lling new generating stations to bridge the gap between generation and demand and consequently, there is a scope for demand for electrical engineers. So, in present Electrical power sector scenario electrical engi-neering branch can be treated as an ever green branch. For All PSUs like NTPC, NHPC, HPCL, BHEL, Power Grid etc. recr-uitment will be through GATE. The list of PSU s through GATE 2014 is given below:
