All the eligible candidates can apply in the prescribed format on the official website, the link for which is gate.iitkgp.ac.in. In case of multiple applications for GATE 2022, only one will be accepted and the remaining applications will be rejected without any refund for the paid fee.
The GATE 2022 examination will be conducted on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022. The organizing institute for GATE 2022 is the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur. Depending on the Covid-19 situation, the schedule of the GATE 2022 examination may change.

Education qualification required for GATE 2022:
The following candidates are eligible to appear in the GATE 2022 examination:
Candidates currently studying in the 3rd or higher year of any undergraduate programme.
Candidates already completed a government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2022 exam.
There is no age limit for appearing for the GATE 2022 examination.
Validity of GATE scores:
The GATE 2022 score will remain valid for three years from the date of announcement of results.
How to apply for GATE 2O22:
Log on to the official website of GATE 2022
On the homepage, under the "GATE 2022 ONLINE APPLICATION" tab, click on, "Apply Online"
Enter all the required details
Pay the application fee and click on submit
Take a print out of the online application for future use.
Note: The entire process of filling in the application form and uploading certificates / documents, etc. is in online mode only. The candidates should not send any hard copy of their application forms/documents etc. to IIT Kharagpur or any of the zonal GATE offices.
GATE 2022: Important dates
- Opening date of online application portal: August 30
- Closing date of regular online registration/ application process: September 24, 2021
- Closing date of extended online registration/ application process: October 1, 2021
- Display of defective applications to rectify: October 26, 2021
- Last date for rectification of applications: November 1, 2021
- Admit Card will be available for download: January 3, 2022
- Announcement of the results in the online application portal: March 17, 2022.
