The court said that it will not interfere with the judgment given by the single judge in 2019, where it has been ruled that B.Tech candidates should be allowed for teacher recruitment. The TS high court dismissed the appeals by Telangana Residential Educational Institution Recruitment Board challenging the single judge's verdict. A bench comprising Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice T Tukaranji recently given the order.
As per to NCTE guidelines...
According to NCTE 2010 and 2014 guidelines, B.Tech and BEd candidates are also eligible for PGT and TGT posts. However, the notification issued by the state government for these posts states that only candidates with BA, B.Sc, B.Com and B.Ed are eligible. Those who have completed B.Tech as per NCTE guidelines are also eligible. In this context, the judgment of the single judge is correct.
