Another Telangana DSC with 6,000 Teacher Posts Soon: Bhatti Vikramarka
The Guru Pooja Utsav was grandly celebrated at Ravindra Bharathi on Thursday, commemorating the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Speaking at the event, Bhatti praised the crucial role of teachers in building a progressive society. He urged teachers to prepare government school students to compete globally and stated that the government is prioritizing the education sector. He said that a GO has been issued to provide free electricity to 17,862 government schools in the state.

Telangana DSC
Bhatti said that a new DSC notification will be issued soon to fill 6000+ teacher posts. The results of the recent DSC exam conducted to fill 11,062 teacher posts will be announced in ten days. The final key will also be released on the same day.
Infrastructure and Development Initiatives
Bhatti mentioned that ₹667 crores are being spent to provide basic facilities in government schools, with the maintenance responsibility given to Amma Adarsha School Committees. A Skill University has been established to provide the necessary human resources for industries, and 63 ITI colleges are being developed as advanced technology centers. He also detailed that ₹300 crores have been allocated for infrastructure in universities, with ₹100 crores specifically for Osmania University. An Education Commission has been set up to bring about radical changes in the education sector.

Full Fee Reimbursement for Government School Students
BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar stated that the government is considering full fee reimbursement for government school students pursuing higher education and studying abroad. He emphasized that efforts are being made to resolve teachers’ issues sincerely and urged teachers to work towards increasing student enrollments in schools. He also requested cooperation for the reforms being introduced in the education sector.
Shaping the New Generation
MLC Professor Kodandaram mentioned that the new generation from marginalized communities is now attending government schools, and it is the teachers’ responsibility to shape them. Higher Education Council Chairman Professor R. Limbadri suggested that teachers need to upgrade themselves with the changing times.
The event was attended by Education Department Principal Secretary Burra Venkatesham, Technical Education Commissioner Devasena, School Education Director Narasimha Reddy, Inter Board Secretary Shruti Oja, Higher Education Council Vice Chairman Professor S.K. Mahmood, Professor Venkataramana, Secretary Sriram Venkatesh, MLCs Kura Raghotham Reddy, A. Narsi Reddy, A. Venkatanarayana Reddy, and others. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar honored 150 teachers who received the Best Teacher Award.
