TG DEECET 2024 Notification out| Check Exam Pattern
Eligibility Criteria for TG DEECET 2024:
1. Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.
2. Local Status: You must meet the local/non-local residence requirements as defined in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974 (as amended).
3. Entrance Exam and Educational Qualifications (For Government & Category A/B Private Seats):
- You must have secured a rank in the TG DEECET-2024 exam.
- To qualify for a rank, you need to score at least 35% marks in TG DEECET if you belong to the "Open Competition" (OC) or "Backward Classes" (BC) categories.
- There is no minimum qualifying mark for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates for seats reserved under their respective categories.
- However, SC/ST candidates need to score at least 35% marks to be considered for seats under Open Competition (OC), NCC, Defence Personnel or their dependents, and Sports categories.
4. Minimum Educational Qualification:
- You must have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination (or an equivalent exam approved by the TG DEECET Committee) before taking the TG DEECET 2024 exam.
- You must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam (or 45% if you belong to SC, ST, or Physically Challenged categories).
5. Age Limit:
- You must be at least 17 years old as of September 1st of the year you are applying for admission.
- There is no upper age limit for admission to the D.El.Ed/D.P.S.E program.

TG DEECET 2024 Exam Format:
The TG DEECET 2024 exam will be a computer-based objective test with 100 questions, each carrying one mark. The exam will be offered in three languages: Telugu, Urdu, and English. Here's a breakdown of the test structure:
Test Structure:
Parts: The exam is divided into three parts.
Total Marks: 100 marks (each question carries 1 mark).
Part-wise Breakdown:
Part I: General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude (10 Questions, 10 Marks)
This part will assess your general knowledge and understanding of teaching principles.
Part II: Language Skills (30 Questions, 30 Marks)
This part tests your proficiency in the chosen language of the exam (Telugu, Urdu, or English). It will be further divided into two sections:
- Section A: General English (compulsory for all) - 10 questions, 10 marks.
- Section B: General Telugu/Urdu (choose one) - 20 questions, 20 marks. You can select Telugu or Urdu based on your preference.
Part III: Subject Knowledge (60 Questions, 60 Marks)
This part assesses your knowledge in four core subjects:
- Mathematics (20 questions, 20 marks)
- Physical Sciences (10 questions, 10 marks)
- Biological Sciences (10 questions, 10 marks)
- Social Studies (20 questions, 20 marks)
