- Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann will be sworn-in as the chief minister of Punjab today. The oath-taking ceremony will be held in Khatkar Kalan village in Nawanshahr district, the ancestral village of iconic freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.
- Mr Mann tendered his resignation from the membership of Lok Sabha to Speaker Om Birla on Monday. Mr Mann, who contested from Dhuri assembly constituency in Sangrur district, won by a margin of 58,206 votes over Congress' Dalvir Singh Goldy.
