PM announces development and upgradation of 14,500 schools across country under PM-SHRI Yojana

• Prime Minister NarendraModi has announced a new initiative, the PradhanMantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana. Under the scheme, development and upgradation of 14 thousand 500 schools will be done across India.

• The PM-SHRI schools will become model schools which will encapsulate the full spirit of National Education Policy.

• The PM-SHRI schools will have a modern, transformational and holistic method of imparting education. He is certain that these schools will further benefit lakhs of students across the country in the spirit of National Education Policy.

• Emphasis will be given on a discovery-oriented, learning-centric way of teaching.
