- Cyclone 'Biparjoy', the first storm brewing in the Arabian Sea this year, rapidly intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm.
- India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the very severe cyclonic storm will intensify further and move northwards during the next three days.
- Gale wind speed reaching 130 to 140 kilometres per hour gusting to 155 kmph is likely to prevail over east-central Arabian Sea today.
- Squally weather with wind speed reaching 35 to 45 kilometres per hour gusting to 55 kmph is likely along and off Karnataka-Goa-Maharashtra coasts.
- Fishing operations over east-central and adjoining west-central and south Arabian Sea have been suspended till 12th June.
