  • It is known that when humans become resistant to a variant of a virus, new variants emerge for its survival. After that, Delta and Omicron were merged in them, and other subvariants like Delmicron and Fluran were born when Omicron was mixed with Flu. Now,, another sub-variant has recently emerged related to Covid. Its name is 'Centarus'.
  • This name has some more significance. The name 'Centarus' has not been given an official name by the World Health Organization (WHO). However, it was named after a galaxy called Centaurus, which is very far from us (Earth), according to Greek mythology; it was named after a galaxy with a half-horse, half-human body. It was given this name because of the nature of expanding as fast as a horse runs. A covid watcher said. But so far it does not seem to be serious.
  • The Centaurus (BA 2.75) sub-variant was found in our country in the month of May this year. But for the first time it was found in 'Netherlands'. Now this variant is infecting USA, UK, Germany and Australia. Scientists say that now the variant is expanding in about ten countries including the above countries.
