APSRTC 11,500 Vacancies Jobs Notification Update!
Recently, APSRTC officials identified these vacancies and submitted a detailed report to the government. Now, the approval of the coalition government is awaited. Once granted, a notification for filling as many as 11,500 positions is expected to be released.
One of the key election promises made by the AP coalition government includes providing free travel for women in RTC buses. To implement this, the government is preparing to launch the scheme. A cabinet sub-committee, led by Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, has been formed to study its feasibility. Based on their recommendations, the Chandrababu Naidu government plans to execute the free travel scheme for women.
Details of APSRTC Jobs:
To facilitate free travel for women, additional buses are required. Moreover, these buses need drivers and conductors for operations, along with mechanics and other staff for maintenance. In total, approximately 11,500 employees are estimated to be required. APSRTC officials have submitted a preliminary report to the government regarding this need.
Given the minimal educational qualifications and attractive salaries in this government-sector organization, these jobs are expected to attract significant competition.
Of the newly created positions in APSRTC, the majority will be drivers and conductors, accounting for nearly 10,000 posts. The remaining 1,500 posts will include roles such as Junior Assistants and Supervisors.
