For the first time in the history of the university, the Telangana state government has decided to give admission in IIIT Basar with POLYCET.
IIIT was formed in 2008 in Basra, Nirmal district. The state higher education department on Thursday decided to make it mandatory to write POLYCET for admissions in IIIT. To complete the 4 + 2 Engineering course in IIIT, one has to write POLYCET to get a seat. Students have to register online for Polytechnic Common Entrance Test Registration. The POLYCET notice has already been issued and the last date for online applications is till the 25th of this month.

Applications will be accepted until the 27th of this month with a penalty fee of Rs 100 and up to 30 with a penalty fee of Rs 300. The test date will be revealed soon, the order said. Results will be released 12 days after the test is written. Those who pass can get admissions on the basis of merit in IIIT in Basra as well as all private engineering colleges offering polytechnic courses including government, aided and unaided polytechnic colleges. Admissions can be obtained in Prof. Jayashankar Agricultural University, PV Narsimha Rao Veterinary University.
