Kurnool City: The deadline for applying for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMSS) examination, scheduled for December 8th, has been extended to 17th of this month. This decision was announced by the District Educational Officer, Kagitha Samuel, on Tuesday.

Eligibility: Students from government, district parishad, municipal, aided, and mandal parishad primary schools who are studying in class 8th and have a family income below ₹3,50,000 are eligible to apply.

Application Process: OC and BC category students need to pay ₹100, while SC and ST students need to pay ₹50. The application can be submitted online through the SBI Collect link. For more information, visit www.bse.ap.gov.in.

The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMSS) is a scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students from economically weaker sections. This scholarship helps students continue their education at the secondary stage.
