AP POLYCET 2022 Notification; Check Study Material Here
POLYCET is a Polytechnic common entrance test conducted by State Board of Technical Education and Training, Amaravati for admission into Diploma level programs conducted in Government, Aided, Private, Un-aided Polytechnics and Second Shift polytechnics run in existing Private un-aided Engineering Colleges.
Eligibility: Those who have passed tenth standard or equivalent education with at least 35% marks in Maths as a subject are eligible to apply for the policy.
Examination procedure: The polycet examination is conducted in pen and paper (offline) format. The questions are in multiple choice mode. There will be a test for 120 questions from all three sections. Questions come in Maths – 50, Physics – 40, Chemistry – 30. The test time is two and a half hours. There are questions from the tenth grade level syllabus. One mark will be allotted for each correct answer. No negative marking policy is in place.
Diploma Courses: Courses in Civil, Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communications, Electronic and Instrumentation, Computer and Information Technology, Metallurgical, Chemical, etc. are available.
Duration: Technical courses are offered for a period of three years or three and a half years. The semester procedure consists of examinations. Industrial training is also part of the course.
Higher education: If you are interested in higher education after completing the diploma, you can write the ESET exam and join the second year of B Tech / BE directly through lateral entry. With this qualification one can also write national level competitive exams like EAMCET, IIT-JEE.
