V.Saimik Reddy, IIT-JEE 2011 3rd Ranker Interview

I always kept in mind the goal of achieving good rank in the IIT-JEE in the two year intermediate course. For the Inter exams I studied for 10 hours daily just before the exams and could able to score 961 marks. Usually with the aim of cracking the IIT-JEE, it is difficult to give equal importance, but my college curriculum is so designed such that the subjects are completed in a year time. The remaining nine months are for revision through which we can get full grip on the subject.

Enjoy Physics more...
I like physics among the three sciences. The problems are idea based where you enjoy solving them with small tricks. I was ranked 55 in the class when I first attended the coaching. I could be in 4the position at the end of coaching.

Practice tests crucial:
The practice tests are very crucial to the preparation. We can assess our strengths and weaknesses. Through these tests I was able to improve on Organic Chemistry.

To become CEO:
My aim is to become a CEO of a good company. I owe my success to my parents and teachers. They always encouraged me, filled confidence in me when I was in need of it.
EEE in IIT, Mumbai:
I wish to take Electrical engineering in IIT, Mumbai. As I like physics my choice is electrical through which I want to develop new mobile phones in future. In IIT, Mumbai, I heard we can both study and enjoy in the institution, so I opted for it.

Prepare key notes:
One should note the important points in the classroom where we call it key notes. It is easy to refer through the year long prepared key notes at the time of the exam. Instead of reading alone my suggestion is have a group study with friends such that we can share our ideas and discuss new topics.
