18th rank in GATE(Instrumentation)
Schooling and Intermediate:
I did my schooling at St.Mary's high school, Kankipadu, a village near Vijayawada. I was an average student but I had a lot of interest in sports related activities. Football was my favourite.I played at state level competitions. I completed my schooling and secured 80%. After 10th class I have joined Narayana junior college as a day scholar and took mathematics, physics and chemistry as my main subjects in intermediate. I have scored around 87% in intermediate and got EAMCET rank in 30 thousands.
College Days (BTech):
Owing to my EAMCET rank, I had to choose a newly established college (Marri Laxma Reddy Institute of Technology, MLRIT) and on that day of EAMCET counseling I stood there almost depressed and dejected with myself, not knowing what to do.
The College had begun; I had a clean ragging free environment. We were the second batch of the College. Many lecturers immediately became my favorites. They were really keen to give us the best and get the best out of us and that motivated me even more apart from just being motivated by my parents and by myself.
I am very active in class; I listen to almost every session. And not to forget our H.O.D and lecturers who are always there to guide us whenever we need them. I have participated in many paper presentation contests held national wide. I actively participated in the Intra College sports, worked as a coordinator for organizing Inter college sports meet. Lastly, but most importantly, the activities which improved my understanding and helped me reach the position I am in today are the Mini and Main Projects.
Preparation for GATE:
Though my main course of study in engineering is IT(Information Technology), I have interest in instrumentation. So, I have chosen instrumentation as my subject in GATE exam. As instrumentation is not my course, I had to work hard for the last one year. I used to study day and night for the exam. As internet is the main source of information, I gathered lot of information in web. As a result of my hard work, I have secured All India 18th rank in GATE exam.
Inspiration:
My father lost his leg in an accident during my childhood. He worked very hard to pay for my studies. I have an elder brother, Krishna Chaitanya, he has many educational achievements(EAMCET: 19th rank, AIEEE: all India 234th rank, all India first in Unified counsel talent test-2005.). He is my main inspiration.
