NEET 2023 Ranks: New Tie-breaking Process

The tie-breaking policy for 2023 has been designed to shortlist and rank applicants based on their performance and basic eligibility.

In 2022, NTA has considered only 3 points for tie breaking when two or more students get equal marks in the NEET. It has introduced a new tie-breaking policy to allot NEET merit list. As per new policy, the following pririties are considered.

NEET 2023 Tie-breaking Policy

1st Priority: Higher percentile scores/marks in Biology in NEET 2023  

2nd Priority: Higher percentile scores/marks in NEET 2023 Chemistry

3rd Priority: Higher percentile scores/marks in Physics in NEET 2023

4th Priority: Applicants with a lesser number of incorrect answers in all three subjects of the NEET 2023 exam

5th Priority: Applicants with a lesser number of incorrect answers in Biology

6th Priority: Candidates with a lesser number of incorrect answers in Chemistry

7th Priority: Candidates with a lesser number of incorrect answers in NEET 2023 Physics

8th Priority: Candidates older in age

9th Priority: NEET 2023 Application number in the ascending order
