The CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute invites online applications from enthusiastic, young Indian researchers having excellent academic record and proven scientific achievements along with requisite experience and a high degree of motivation and desire to take up research as a career in the field of solid earth sciences to fill up the following scientific positions.

1. Scientist (Electrical/ Electromagnetic Geophysics): 04 Posts

Qualification: PhD (Submitted/ Awarded) in Geophysics/ Geosciences/ Earth Sciences/ Physical Science with specialization in the area of Electrical/ Electromagnetic geophysics.

Age Limit: 32/35 years

2. Scientist (Seismic/ Seismology): 05 Posts

Qualification: PhD (Submitted/ Awarded) in Geophysics / Geosciences/ Earth Sciences/ Physical Science with specialization in the area of Seismic/ Seismology.

Age Limit: 32/35/ 37 years

3. Scientist (Gravity/ Magnetic/ GPS/ Heat Flow): 04 Posts

Qualification: PhD (Submitted/ Awarded) in Geophysics/ Geosciences/ Earth Sciences/ Physical Sciences with specialization in the area of Gravity/ Magnetic/ GPS/ Heat Flow.

Age Limit: 32/35/ 37 years

4. Scientist (Modelling of Solid Earth Process): 01 Post

Qualification: PhD (Submitted/ Awarded) in Geophysics/ Geosciences/ Earth Sciences/ Physical Sciences with specialization in the modelling of Solid Earth Process.

Age Limit: 32 years

5. Scientist (Geochemistry/ Geochronology/ Isotope Geology/ Structural Geology/ Active Tectonic Studies/ Paleo-magnetism/ Rock Mechanics): 04 Posts

Qualification: PhD (Submitted/ Awarded) in Geology/ Geochemistry/ Geosciences/ Earth Sciences/ Physical Sciences with specialization in the area of Geochemical Exploration/ Geochronology/ Isotope Geology/ Structural Geology/ Active Tectonic Studies/ Paleo-magnetism/ Rock Mechanics.

Age Limit: 32/35/37 years

Fee: Rs.100/-. (SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women/ CSIR Employees are exempted from payment of application fee).
