Scientist Crop (Livestock Integration)

Qualifications:

A PhD degree in agriculture, crop or forage science, animal production or related discipline with experience in livestock systems related research.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in implementing research for development in crop-livestock focussed programs.
An ability to independently organize and implement on-station and on-farm experiments involving crops, forages and animals that provide high quality datasets that inform the promotion of crop-livestock farming systems.
Demonstrated ability to scientifically write as evidenced by a good publication record of research papers in refereed journals.
Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders and a desire to work in and lead interdisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated ability to write proposals and fund raise.
Willingness/ ability to live, work and travel frequently in Niger and the region.
Fluency in English and French.
