The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is seeking applications for the position of Communication Team Leader to oversee the communications team responsible for traditional and social media development, videography, events, and other areas.

Communication Team Leader

Eligibility:

Hold a Masters Degree in Communications or in a related field of specialization with demonstrated experience in managing a large communications unit;
5 - 10 years of experience in communications in the field of research and development;
Be proficient in managing a team
Be proficient in video production and graphic design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro
Strong writing, analytical and information synthesis skills and ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely
Sound understanding of agriculture, food and nutrition security, rural development and climate change and demonstrable skills in translating these for a variety of audiences
Exhibit political and cultural sensitivity, be proactive and have good interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure, take initiative, and be dynamic and proactive
Ability to work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment
Knowledge and previous experience of working in regional or international development organizations would be an asset.
