World Health Organisation has named the new COVID-19 variant B.1.1.529, which was detected in South Africa, as 'Omicron', saying it may spread more quickly than other forms.

Extreme tiredness. Young patients also show extreme tiredness.
There is no major drop in oxygen saturation levels.
No reported loss of taste or smell, unlike known symptoms in patients infected with other strains like delta.
