The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board (TN TRB) is inviting applications for direct recruitment to 4000 Assistant Professor positions in the Tamil Nadu Collegiate Educational Service for Government Arts & Science Colleges and Government Colleges of Education. Applications will only be accepted online.

TRB Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024 - Qualifications:
⦁   Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a relevant subject from an Indian university or an accredited foreign university
⦁   National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar UGC-approved test like SLET/SET.
⦁   Exemption from NET/SLET/SET: Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M. Phil. / Ph.D. Degree) Regulations of 2009 or 2016 (and their amendments) are exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
Additional Requirement for Pre-July 11, 2009 Ph.D. Candidates: PhD candidates registered before July 11, 2009, must meet the following conditions to be exempt from NET/SLET/SET:

PhD awarded in a regular mode.
PhD thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners
Open PhD viva voce conducted
Two research papers published from the Ph.D. work, with at least one in a refereed journal.
Two presentations based on Ph.D. work at conferences/seminars sponsored by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
