Who was the inspiration behind your success?
My parents. Especially my father; because he is the one who supported, encouraged me all the way through when my mom was paralyzed when I was in 4th standard . He became my father as well as mother. I’m something in this world because of him.
Can you describe us in detail how you faced the campus interview right from the written test to facing the interview board?
I was preparing for the interviews after my 3rd year 2nd semester exams . I faced a couple of interviews before Morgan Stanley. First there was a written test which was on technical and aptitude, my preparation was simple. I just wanted to be perfect in basics and I know that if I’m perfect in basics then I can play with the subject. The written test was followed by two rounds of technical and one group activity round and a HR round. I was shortlisted for the interview, I was a bit nervous as we never expected such a big company would visit our campus; the company didn’t come to campus drive last year; thanks to the Placement Officer sir (V Uma Maheswar ) for the interest he has taken for our placements drive and requesting the companies to visit our campus. First technical round was on concepts and little bit on algorithmic skills. I was asked to write algorithms for some problems. The next round was the group activity round. We were 8 people who were shortlisted from the previous round. We were divided into groups and were given a real time situation and were asked to discus and come to a conclusion. The next technical round was on finding solution for real-time problems like I was asked to write a data structure to represent a online cricket score board (eg: cricinfo website). The last round was a HR round, I was asked some puzzles and a bit of logical questions and personal questions were asked.

My technical skills, communication skills, way of approaching a real-time problem.
How many offers did you get and what was your choice?

What suggestion would you like to give for job aspirants?
Be confident, prepare the basics of every subject, adapt problem solving skills .
What parameters did you kept in mind while selecting a College or a branch?
The scope of the branch and placements offered to a particular college
Branch is an important issue, which decides the career of the student? How did you decide upon the branch selection?
If the student wants to take up a job after he completes the B.Tech, then the best branch to opt is the CSE (Computer Science Engineering) or IT (Information Technology). If the student have the plans of pursuing higher studies in technical field like M. Tech then he may choose any one of the core branches Mechanical , Civil ,EEE (Electrical Electronics Engineering) , ECE(Electronics and communication engineering) .
What do you suggest to a student and why: A seat in a good college or a good branch in a normal college?
First, don’t even think of opting branches which are not core branches. After that if you have dilemma of choosing among core branches in different colleges, then go for good college rather than normal college.
Can you suggest the Engineering branches which are in demand with respect to the present job trend?
In regard to the present job trend CSE and IT. I may be biased to CSE because I am from CSE, but it is the fact that job offers are maximum to CSE branch in our college.
What do you think is best for a fresh engineer - to pursue MBA or to opt for a job?
If you have a job in hand and admission in IIM or any other prestigious Business School, you should definitely choose MBA in such a situation. However, if you are going to do MBA from a not so prestigious college, you need to think.
What skills should students develop during their four years to have a bright career?
Communication skills, problem-solving skills, inter-personal skills.
Keeping in view of the physical strain, which Engineering branches are suitable for girls?
CSE, IT
How should an engineering student plan his four years of the study for a successful career?
Remember that Taj Mahal was not built in a single day. The same way you should study every day at least a half an hour. And your focus should be on acquiring knowledge not marks as most of us do.
