TG EAPCET 2024 Counselling: 10500 Engineering Unreserved Seats!

This year, 10,500 engineering seats in Telangana colleges are reserved for students from Andhra Pradesh. This is a one-time opportunity for the 2024-25 academic year.

Previously, due to the state division in 2014, the allocation of quota seats for Andhra Pradesh students was unclear. However, the government has clarified the process and included these reserved seats in the recent counseling. However, these seats come under open competition, which means Telangana students too can compete.

Total Seats and Reserved Quota

There are a total of 98,296 engineering seats in Telangana. Out of these, 70,307 seats were filled during the convener quota round, with 15% reserved for Andhra Pradesh students. This translates to the 10,500 available seats.

Eligibility for Andhra Pradesh Students

These reserved seats are open to students from Andhra Pradesh who qualify through the TG EAPSET exam. This year, over 34,600 Andhra Pradesh students qualified for the exam and will compete with Telangana students for these reserved seats.

Current Admission Process

The engineering admission process is ongoing. From July 8th, students are submitting their web options. There's a trend of more seats being allocated to civil, mechanical, and electrical branches based on AICTE approvals. Additionally, some colleges are requesting additional sections and seats.

Note:- 1. Physical reporting of the Candidate at the allotted college after Second Phase allotment is mandatory. 2. Handover a set of Xerox copies of the Certificates and Original Transfer Certificate (T.C) at the allotted college. 3. Candidates got allotment in Second Phase and not reported at the allotted college are not permitted to exercise options in Final Phase of Counselling.
