Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2025 - Selection Process

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The first stage of the selection process includes a physical fitness test, which evaluates candidates based on:

1,600m Run: Divided into four scoring categories:

🏃 5 min 30 sec or less – 60 marks
🏃 5 min 31 sec – 5 min 45 sec – 48 marks
🏃 5 min 46 sec – 6 min – 36 marks
🏃 6 min 1 sec – 6 min 15 sec – 24 marks

Other Tests: Push-ups, pull-ups, and other exercises as per the role.

Additional Note: Candidates are provided an extra 30 seconds this year for completing the run.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
After qualifying the physical fitness test, candidates undergo measurement tests for height, weight, and chest standards, based on specific post requirements.

Medical Examination
Candidates who clear the physical stages are subjected to a thorough medical checkup, ensuring they meet the Indian Army’s health standards.

Written Examination (CEE)

A Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is the final step in the selection process:

The syllabus and difficulty level vary depending on the position applied for.

Final Merit List

After all stages, a merit list is prepared based on the cumulative performance in the physical tests, medical exams, and written examination.
Shortlisted candidates receive their offer letters and proceed to training.
