• India beat United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 122 runs in the U-19 T20 Women's Cricket World Cup at Willowmoore Park, Benoni in South Africa on Monday and stays on top of Group-D. Chasing the target of 220 runs set by India, UAE could manage to score 97 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
• Earlier, put into bat, India made 219 runs losing three wickets. Shweta Sehrawat made a brilliant unbeaten 74 in 49 balls. Captain Shafali Verma scored 78 runs in 34 balls. Richa Ghosh contributed 49. Shafali was declared Player of the Match.
• India will next play Scotland on Thursday (19th of January).
